I was forced to buy this for school and have regretted the purchase ever since. If you have the choice go with another text. This book provides too much unnecessary details that seem to confuse the reader. It also doesnt explain concepts very well.

I really like this book, it is the most comprehensive med-surg I have ever read. There is one other one I used, in 1983 that even comes close, since then I have been disapointed up until now, I am glad I purchased it. Many people do not like it because of its size based on reviews I have read. The size does not matter to me, it is worth carrying it around for the information avaliable.
