NCLEX-RN® Alternate-Format Questions, Fourth Edition, provides more than 500 questions, including 350 alternate-format questions styled after those included on the NCLEX-RN® exam. All the alternate-format types are represented, including the audio and graphic option questions included on the 2010 test plan, plus multiple-response multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank calculation questions, exhibit/chart questions, drag and drop questions, and "Hot Spot" questions. The book uses the popular two-column format for efficient studying: questions on left side of page with corresponding answers and rationales on the right, directly opposite the question. Each question also provides a critical thinking test-taking strategy, client needs category, client needs subcategory, cognitive level, a reference citation, and the applicable integrated process, which provides a broader perspective on what students will experience when taking the exam. In addition, complete rationales for correct and incorrect answers are included.

Good book for alternate format questions, but since the NCLEX is not just alternate format, it's good, not great. I think that the content is excellent, though. Overall, a very good book, but I would not use it exclusively to prepare for the NCLEX.

I bought this book to get more comfortable with the alternate questions on the NCLEX and it delivered exactly what I needed. I also bought a comprehensive Q&A book to practice with a large number of questions. With an alternative format and a comprehensive Q&A book, that's all I needed to prepare for the NCLEX.

I bought this book with the expectations of improving and getting more comfortable with Alternate Format questions for my upcoming NCLEX Test. This book was definitely not as advertised. The questions were written at a very low level and there was only 7 audio questions and 13 graphics in the entire book. The hot spot questions also seemed very repetitive. Overall I say stay away from this book, the cost may intrigue you but you will be disappointed in the long run. I also purchased Ohman Davis's Q&A for the NCLEX-RN Examination and love it. The layout and amount of questions is fabulous.
